We now have a view of the latest rendition of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Mustang RTR, which is offered in two trim levels: Spec 1 and Spec 2. Gittin Jr. is a World Champion Drifter and was actually the Formula Drift champion in 2010. For several years, he has been campaigning for Ford‘s Mustang. The RTR is how Gittin Jr. wants a street Mustang to be. The looks and the performance of the new 2013 Mustang RTR were revamped by Ford with the help of Vaughn Gittin Jr. There’s an option for 624-hp. The Spec 1 package has a price tag of $6,250. The RTR appearance package for V6 and V8 Mustang owners consists of a chin spoiler, aluminum rear spoiler, badging, 19-inch wheels, Falken tires, Ford Racing 10.1-inch lowering springs, and RTR axle-back exhaust system.
The RTR appearance package isn’t the complete package that’s available on the Spec 2. The Spec 1 doesn’t have a rear diffuser, RTR rocker splitters, and deck lid applique. However, the Spec 1 buyers can get RTR striping. The Spec 2 package costs $11,995.
The complete RTR appearance package for this Mustang comes with all of the previously cited components plus a Ford Racing tune, Ford Racing adjustable shocks, 1.0-inch or 1.5-inch lowering springs, RTR four-way adjustable front and rear sway bars, RTR adjustable panhard bar, RTR rear chassis brace, and RTR axle-back exhaust system. The Spec 2 package is available with either 525-hp or 624-hp due to a Ford Racing supercharger system. Only select premium Ford dealerships offer the Mustang RTR.
