Former Hummer executives form product development consulting firm

A product development consulting firm named New Motor Advisors LLC has been formed by several former General Motors Co. executives, the officials who headed Hummer’s product development. Its executives team is composed of David Stenson, founder and president and former Hummer chief technical officer; William Shikany, vice president of operations and former director of Hummer engineering operations; and Ronald Yuille, vice president of powertrain engineering for GM's international operations.
Last year, GM failed to enter a deal with China-based Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. to sell its Hummer brand. Stenson, Shikany and Yuille left GM, either on severance or retirement. Stenson said that he came up with the idea of a startup while he was involved in the deal to spin off Hummer.
He explained that if he couldn’t do it with Hummer as a stand-alone, he wanted to help develop products for smaller companies that may require certain expertise. [via autonews - sub. required]
