The anticipation just got more intense after BMW released a preview of what the public would be seeing at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Witness all three brands (BMW, Rolls Royce, and MINI) under the same roof for the first time. The latest vehicles will be displayed alongside the still-to-be-launched cars.
Aside from the BMW EfficientDynamics fleet, two hybrid vehicles -- BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and BMW ActiveHybrid X6 -- will have their world premieres during the event.
Although already presented, who could get enough of the BMW 5-Series GT and the BMW X1? They will also be attending. BMW is set to unveil a new green sports car concept, "a product of sustainable development," according to Klaus Draeger, a BMW board member.
He said that the BMW EfficientDynamics Vision will demonstrate how efficient a sports car can be and will also prove that sustainability applies to the drive train as well as its design and materials. Expect the MINI Cooper S 50 Camden and MINI 50 Mayfair to show up with product innovations.
Incidentally, MINI will have its 50th birthday on August 26 and will properly celebrate it at the Frankfurt show. Showing its production version for the first time is the Rolls Royce Ghost.
Expect the Phantom product range with the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, the Drophead Coupe and the Phantom Coupe to grace the event as well.
