Kia is expected to unveil a new European concept car at the 2013 IAA Frankfurt motor show on September 10. The concept provides a glimpse on a possible offering by the South Korean carmaker in the B segment. The Kia Rio is currently the carmaker’s global B-segment car, and the concept may point to the design and looks of a next generation Rio.
Kia combined contrasting materials in compact dimensions to create a new concept car that exudes a roguish character as well as stylish body. The new concept car is a product of Kia’s bid to look for new compact-car options for the individualistic and demanding driver who primarily considers size in his vehicle choices.
Kia’s new concept car features interesting elements not typical to smaller cars. Kia created the concept in Europe and considered European tastes and expectations during its development. Kia currently has no plans to produce the concept car, but its debut in the Frankfurt motor show will be used to determine potential customer response for future showroom models.
