Official images of the 2010 model year for the Lexus LS series reveal that very little has changed. The GS and IS lines get minor cosmetic upgrades but largely carry forward their current design cues, though the IS-F gets a performance boost. The LS will primarily get visual upgrades. Previous reports have confirmed the grille will be tweaked to match the newer HS250h, along with updated side-mirror turn signals, new wheels and a slightly modified rear bumper/taillight combo.
The headlights were also updated. We can expect major upgrades to the equipment specifications and seating configuration inside the car. Driving dynamics were likewise improved. While the GS line gets a similar set of updates, the hybrid will have more unique elements to set it apart from the rest of the range. Other GS updates include new audio and navigation systems, an updated color range and enhanced safety features. The IS stays true to the theme of minimal styling changes and updated interior features, with a new F-Sport package and new nav and audio systems now available.
The biggest change for the IS range is the addition of a limited-slip differential (LSD) to the high-performance IS-F. Full details on the updated LS, GS and IS ranges will be revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show. For those who don't know, Lexus will also bring at Frankfurt the brand new LF-Ch Hybrid Concept!
