G-power 760i Storm BMW 7-series
The tuning specialists at G-Power, which only work on BMWs, are famous for modifying a car beyond recognition. Its latest product -- the Storm -- is G-Power's version of the flagship 760i, which along with its long-wheelbase 760iL brother, has gotten the extreme treatment. The vehicle's twin turbocharged 6.0 V12 is now able to produce 725HP at 5,500 rpm and boasts a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) available from 2,000 rpm. This is an impressive feat considering that the standard values had been at 544HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). The engine has received several modifications, including increased boost pressure, larger injection valves and a new exhaust system.
Even the stock eight-speed automatic gearbox has been modified for the car to be able to handle the new power and torque levels. The car got a revised suspension that lowers it by 30 mm. The 7 now has 22-inch bespoke rims, wrapped in Michelin tires -- 265/30 for the front wheels and 295/25 for the power-transferring rear wheels. The Storm is able to get to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds and 200km/h in 11.9 seconds, much like a supercar. It has a top speed of 345 km/h (215 mph).
The Storm is given a complete body kit that consists of a special bonnet featuring Kevlar air vents, new front and rear bumpers, carbon fiber side skirts, a boot lid spoiler and a rear diffuser. The car has several unique features, including a carbon fiber trim for the door panels, central console and dashboard. It also has a new sports steering wheel and speedometer. Only 10 examples of the Storm will be rolled out. The 760i is priced at $495,000 (365,000 euro), while the 760iL will be priced at $510,000 (375,000 euro).
