Geely continues to be very optimistic as after having completed the Volvo takeover, it now aims for goals that have been set higher than ever before. For instance, the Geely group seeks to have unprecedented growth this year, with a clear goal to become one of the top 500 companies in the world. In a report by Gasgoo, Yang Jian, president of Geely Holding Group, said that Geely's production capacity will be expanded to more than ten trillion units, “enough to be one of the world's top 500 enterprises."
Geely expects Volvo’s sales to increase much in the next few years, especially since the Volvo product range will be launched both in the domestic markets and in other unexplored regions. Geely aims to double its market share in China, with sales to hit 2 million cars annually by 2015.
In the years to come, over 40 new models based on 15 platforms based on its core brands will be launched. In China, Geely’s brands include Emgrand, Gleagle and Englon, which will all receive major investments and new models. Geely will have to add to the number of dealerships, with the new stores offering its Chinese brands as well as the Volvo models.
