Gemballa presents custom PDK F1 Steering Wheel

Gemballa, the Leonberg-based Porsche specialist, have come up with a new sport steering wheel with a cleverly positioned F1 rocker switches to address the design problems of the Porsche Doppelkupplung transmission (PDK) which is awkwardly located and comes with an irrational gear selection.
The new steering wheel comes with F1 rocker switches located behind the steering wheel rim and the standard gearshift arrangement: right for shifting up and left for gearing down. The new steering wheel provides a sensible solution for freewheeling and for quick gear change times. The wheel measures 34 centimeters in diameter and comes with an ergonomic shape for outstanding grip making it an excellent choice for sportive use. The aesthetics of the steering wheel is impressive with its three-spoke design it blends ideally with the interior of the Porsche. There are lots of options available for individual customers such as a variety of materials, and color variations for each serial or special edition. The embellishment Gemballa offers the steering wheel is completely handcrafted: covering the entire wheel with leather or ultra suede and blend it with sections of carbon, varnish or aluminum or whichever is required. The horn key and rocker switches are done in anodized black. The steering wheel, by Gemballa, which comes with an introductory price of 1,680 Euros, has been approved by the Technical Control Board for all PDK-equipped Porsche models.
