General Motors presents the 2010 Chevrolet Agile

General Motors Brazil's first official image of its new Agile small car elicited comments from people who are thankful that this awkward-looking car will not be GM's new B-segment model for North America.
Actually, the North American model will retain the Aveo name when it debuts next year. The Aveo will follow the even smaller Chevy Spark in some aspects however; it will be stretched over a longer platform.
While the next-generation Aveo doesn't have the style of its rival, the Ford Fiesta, it's still a huge improvement over the current Aveo or the Agile. It's believed that the Aveo and the Agile share some underpinnings.
Judging by how the Agile sits on its wheels, it's been speculated that it seems to be designed for less-developed markets where road quality does not meet US or European standards. [via autoblog]
