2010 Skoda VRS

Skoda's vRS awesome versions of the Fabia hatchback and Fabia estate were revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. These cars feature a sport suspension system and are powered by the Volkswagen Group's 1.4 liter supercharged & turbocharged engine. This is coupled to the seven speed DSG dual clutch transmission. With these specs, the car develops 180 HP. The engine is a premiere for the Skoda brand. Power is managed through an XDS electronic front differential that simulates the limited-slip function. With this powertrain, the two versions of the Fabia vRS are able to get to the 100 km/h mark in 7.3 seconds.

The top speed of the hatchback is recorded at 140 mph (225 km/h) while the estate version can manage up to 141 mph. These versions of the Fabia have a fuel economy figure of 36.7 mpg (6.4 liters/100km). The vRS versions of the Fabia have a redesigned sport bumper that features new fog lamps and integrated LED lights. The cars also have a new rear bumper that houses a rear diffuser and a dual exhaust. The hot versions are offered with 17-inch rims and come in a contrasting color scheme. A height-adjustable sport seat can be seen on the Fabia vRS hatch and estate that will accommodate their passengers. An Onyx dashboard theme is featured. With this car, Skoda has its focus on the driver who gets to play with a leather-finished sports steering wheel, which features gearshift paddles and stainless steel pedals.
