Geneva Motor Show: Tata Prima Concept revealed

Tata Prima ConceptBeginning with the introduction of its innovative Nano minicar early in 2008, Tata has become stronger. Tata proved the skeptics wrong when produced a 1-lakh ($2,500) vehicle and another special edition due to open next year in Europe. The carmaker used this week‚ Geneva Motor Show to take off the wraps on a range of exciting concepts that they plan to producing beginning next year and beyond thereby strengthening its position in the automotive industry. One of the unveiled concepts is the latest Prima sedan which was designed by the Italian Pininfarina and also a preview of its latest lower-premium sedan that will be offered for sale beginning next year in Europe. The car rests atop a 2,700mm wheelbase and, with its striking styling, could be threatening to the competition in the midsize sedan range. The car will be produced in India and will see its European launching by 2011. The Nano and the new Indica B-segment hatch will, however, be selling long before the Prima arrives on the scene. Presently going through testing in Europe, the Indica Vista EV will come with an electric powertrain that can attain a range of not less than 200km and an acceleration rating of 0-60mph in 10 seconds.
