2011 Opel Antara, Corsa coming to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show

The re-designed Opel Antara will be available starting in the spring of 2011, featuring an accentuated exterior design, new engines, newly tuned chassis and an upgraded interior. The new Antara combines high utility value, urban chic and sporty off-road flair.

The re-worked engine line-up has two new 2.2 CDTI units with 120 kW/163 hp and 135 kW/184 hp, and a new 2.4 ECOTEC gasoline variant with 123 kW/167 hp.

The engines meet Euro 5 emissions standards and guarantee better driving performance with significantly reduced consumption and emissions. The two transmissions – an automatic and a six-speed manual - have also been completely redeveloped.

Revisions to the active safety and chassis include improvements to the ABS system and the standard fitting of Hill Start Assist (HSA), preventing roll-back when driving away on grades.

The Opel Corsa also gets a facelift in 2011, from its engine line-up, steering system and chassis. The Corsa’s redesigned face lends it a sportier, expressive look; new exterior colors and interior ambiances as well as a great offer of individualized, sporty versions make it even more attractive.

A new multimedia infotainment system called “TOUCH & CONNECT” has a color touch screen, full navigation coverage for 28 European countries, Bluetooth, iPod and USB connections at a very friendly price.

The 70 kW/95 hp ecoFLEX 1.3 CDTI version equipped with Start/Stop technology benefits from 8.7 percent lower fuel consumption in the urban cycle. Overall, it only needs 3.5 liters per 100 km and emits just 94 g/km carbon dioxide.
