Adam Rocks is not the only vehicle that Opel will unveil at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, as the German carmaker owned by General Motors will also bring the sporty Adam S Concept. As expected, this is sporty Adam S Concept previews a possible OPC version of the Adam city car and as you can see from the photos, it comes with new body kit consisting of a front lip spoiler, side sills, an extended rear bumper cut-out with a visible exhaust tailpipe.
Moreover, the red paint is mated with an anthracite grey roof enhanced by a special rear spoiler.
The grille brand bar and the door mirror caps feature a sporty carbon-look. Inside, we find Recaro Performance seats in Morrocana and leather, a red leather-trimmed steering wheel, gearshift and handbrake, distinctive red and white flashes on the instrument and door panels.
Adam S Concept features an infotainment system fully compatible with the latest smartphones using Android and Apple iOS, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, audio streaming, seven speaker and a 7-inch high-definition colour touch-screen. Opel’s smart IntelliLink system also provides navigation by the BringGo app, as well as the Stitcher and TuneIn apps.
The big surprise is found under the hood, where the pocket rocket offers a 1.4-liter Turbo ECOTEC that delivers 150 hp (110 kW) and 220 Nm of torque.
Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the Adam S Concept has a top speed of 220 km/h or 137 mph. Power is delivered to the road via the 18-inch wheels wrapped in 225/35 R 18 tires. Behind these wheels, there is a new braking system consisting of OPC performance 'S' Red Brakes including 16-inch front and 15-inch rear discs featuring red-painted calipers.
