At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, SsangYong will bring the XLV Concept, a rival for the Ford EcoSport. SsangYong already released to sketches of its new concept and as expected it previews an upcoming production model that is currently under development. Described as a multi-role B-segment SUV concept, the XLV has seven seats in three rows of two, while additional seat slides between the second and third rows.
Moreover, the XLV is 290 mm longer than the XIV-1 Concept a.k.a. its predecessor and showcases company’s new design philosophy ‘Nature born 3 motion’.
The SsangYong XLV Concept has a length of 4,430 mm, a width of 1,845 mm and a height of 1,600 mm. Under the hood, there is a 1.6-liter diesel engine mated to an electric motor that takes its energy from a lithium ion battery. Unfortunately, SsangYong did not release any performance figures but stay tuned as more details will be revealed! [source: SsangYong]
