2014 Jeep Compass set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show

New 2014 Jeep Compass is set to debut in Europe at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. The Compass features a new six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission and an improved exterior with a new cabin that offers more comfort and refinement. The 2014 Jeep Compass offers a better driving experience due to its new gearbox that allows for smooth shifting.

This new vehicle comes with new safety equipment such as front-seat-mounted side air bags and ParkView rear backup camera. It also gets a wide variety of features that raise the comfort level when driving either off-road or in the city.

The features offered as standard include power/heated exterior mirrors, air conditioning, fog lamps, keyless entry, Cruise Control, Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation, a removable/rechargeable light, Hill-Start Assist, anti-lock disc brakes and 60/40 fold-flat rear seat. In the second half of this year, Jeep will introduce the new Compass throughout Europe in three different trim levels, such as the all-new North model and the already existing Sport and Limited variants.

For the 2014 model year, the Jeep Compass comes loaded with standard features that would make both drivers and passengers feel more comfortable during a trip. These include air conditioning, power windows, power/heated exterior mirrors, outside temperature display, power locks and keyless entry as well as electronic stability control, anti-lock disc brakes, electronic roll mitigation, cruise control and Hill-start Assist. In addition, the new Jeep Compass comes standard with fog lamps, illuminated cup holders, a removable/rechargeable light and sunscreen glass as well as front-seat-mounted side air bags, 60/40 fold-flat rear seats and front driver and passenger active head restraints.

Optionally available for the latest Jeep Compass is an All-weather Capability Group package that includes daytime running headlamps, Goodyear 17-inch all-terrain tires and all-season floor mats as well as engine block heater and tow hooks.

Most versions of the newest Jeep Compass could be availed with the new 6F24 six-speed automatic transmission that was independently developed by PowerTech. This fully electronic six-speed automatic gearbox is designed to deliver higher levels of performance and fuel efficiency. Aside from being lightweight, the 6F24 six-speed automatic transmission is also compact, with an overall length of just 378.5 mm. Moreover, this new six-speed automatic gearbox boasts of 5.46 gear spread, which results to smooth shifting from launch through highway speeds. Likewise, its transmission features 4.21 first gear as well as standard Auto Stick for manual-like shifting.
