2015 Land Rover Defender gets Black and Silver packs in time for Geneva

Article by Christian A., on February 19, 2014

Land Rover wants to keep the Defender as much as it can on the market and as a result it will launch two new option packs for the iconic SUV: the Black Pack and the Silver Pack. As expected, these packs come with plenty of optional features such as a new aluminum finish on the vehicle’s side runners, contrast finish leather seats, privacy glass and an ebony Alston headliner, offered for the first time on the Defender.

The Black pack includes a Santorini black finish applied on the roof, grille, grille surround, headlamp surrounds, wheel arches, Defender lettering on the bonnet and interior fascia. Privacy glass is also offered as well as ebony Alston headliner.

Land Rover will offer two wheel designs for the Black Pack: a gloss black Sawtooth alloy wheel and a new gloss black heavy duty wheel.

Meanwhile, the Silver Pack adds Indus silver finish to the contrast roof, complemented with the same finish on the grille surround, headlamp surrounds and fascia. Duel Finish alloy wheels are offered as standard as well as a bright light pack that incorporates the white tail and indicator lights. Additional features include contrast leather premium seat, featuring white tail and indicator lights.

This theme can be continued through to the second and third row seats. The front centre stowage compartment can also feature leather highlights. A new body colour, Yulong White, will be available across the Defender range from 2015 model year.

Starting from 2015, all UK and European specification Defenders will be fitted with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as standard. DSC will be packaged with ABS, which will be also offered for the first time on 130 wheel base Defender models.
