Fiat Fullback Show Car introduced at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show

Article by Christian Andrei, on March 7, 2016

Fiat has given us our first glimpse into its Fiat Fullback Show Car at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show. This new Show Car is derived from a Fiat Professional vehicle of the same name that was unveiled at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show.

It is designed for those who want a vehicle that can be used for work and play without having to sacrifice any element. In a more altruistic sense, the Fiat Fullback Show Car represents a blend of the brand’s functional soul and a highly personal and distinct design.

Since the new Fiat Fullback Show Car is not only durable and reliable but is also highly versatile, it is suitable to take into places where customers mix pleasure with challenge. Its name “fullback” is derived from a basic position in American football or rugby who is in charge of the last of defense, which means that this player should be able to take any challenge presented by its opponents.

The same should be true for the new Fiat Fullback Show Car – it takes on any challenge in any situation. It is powered by a 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine providing up to 180 HP and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with rear electronic differential.

On the front end, the new Fiat Fullback Show Car features a special grille featuring chrome-plated segments for a 3D appeal. Additionally, the front of the pickup is marked by a dedicated skid plate for a more imposing and off-road appearance.

The new Fiat Fullback Show Car is also fitted with Bi-Xenon headlights and stylish navigation system. It features an exterior that is wrapped with Liquid Metal Grey and an interior that features black leather and anodised copper dashboard inserts.

It also boasts of certain design details and accessories that make it as appealing as it is versatile -- including exclusive matt black element like mirrors and door handles and the Sport Bar and the extensive side steps. The new Fiat Fullback Show Car rides on 20-inch alloy wheel rims with diamond black inserts on the spokes.

"Lifestyle at work": this effective claim sums up the very essence of the Fiat Fullback Show Car, a pick-up truck dedicated to anyone in pursuit of a vehicle to use for both work and play without compromise, one that combines the brand's functional soul with a highly personal and unique design.

Based on the namesake Fiat Professional vehicle presented at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show and available in all dealers from June 2016, the Fullback demonstrates the brand's functional soul in a highly personal and unique design.

The new pick-up truck blends the winning features of robust durability and reliability with a versatility that makes it perfect for everyday life and leisure time. In short, the new vehicle is ready to take on any challenge, hence the name.

It is certainly no coincidence that the "fullback" is a fundamental position in rugby or American football (the last man in the line of defence and a defender in attack) which identifies a player who is capable of dealing with any situation.

The style of the vehicle will without a doubt draw in the crowds: the body colour is Liquid Metal Grey, with black leather interiors and anodised copper dashboard inserts.

The Fullback sports specific design details and accessories that lend it charisma: exclusive matt black features such as the mirrors and door handles, the Sport Bar and the extensive side steps, the 20" alloy wheel rims with diamond black inserts on the spokes.

The front stands out thanks to its special grille, which is further enhanced by chrome-plated segments that emphasise its three-dimensional appeal, and the dedicated skid plate that gives it a more dynamic and concurrently off-road look.

Bi-Xenon headlights and the navigation system are additional stylish features. Under the bonnet, a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine delivers 180 HP and is combined with a five-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with rear electronic differential.
