According to the latest reports from Italy, it appears that at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Alfa Romeo will introduce the 4C Spider Concept. The new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will feature newly designed alloy wheels, a carbon fiber rollover bar and new headlights made of plexiglas.
What’s more interesting is that the car will feature a manual removable roof, which means that you will have to hurry up if a summer rain hits you! Same media sources confirmed the fact that the rest of the car will be identical to the coupe version.
As a result, the 4C Spider Concept will use the same 1750 Turbo petrol engine that delivers 137 hp-per-liter of output and 200 Nm-per-liter of torque.
This means that the engine found on the 4C Spider Concept will develop 240 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque available between 2,100 and 4,000 rpm. With these numbers, the 4C Spider should be able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) just like the coupe in 4.5 seconds, while the top speed will be limited at around 250 km/h or 155 mph, not 160 mph (257 km/h) like the coupe version.
