Lumma Design CLR 558 GT upgrades the 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Fans of the Porsche Cayenne will be pleased to know that several tuning kits for the model will be seen at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Techart has said that it will display its Magnum Cayenne modification package at the show. Lumma Design has also announced that it will present its CLR 558 GT Cayenne modification package at the show.

This kit targets the engine, suspension, exterior and interior of the SUV. Lumma Design offers the D-Box tweak for the car’s three liter six-cylinder engine, boosting the output from 240 to 276 hp and the torque from 550 to 630 Nm.

Lumma Design also set up its own accelerator pedal module, as well as a custom exhaust system that features a triple-pipe configuration, with the middle tailpipe of a diameter of 100 mm flanked by the two 80 mm ones. The Cayenne will be given technological modifications, including an electronic lowering module for the air suspension, lowering the Cayenne by 40 mm.

The car has been given a set of 22-inch LUMMA rims, with 335/25 tires for the rear axle and 295/30 tires for the front axle.

The vehicle features a full body kit, comprising of the middle tailpipe of a diameter of 100 mm flanked by the two 80 mm ones. Carbon elements are also featured including a rear lip, rear diffuser and front spoiler bottom.

Exterior Design

The new GT-R conversion is based on the present CLR 558 GT conversion. Porsche modified the fascia of the GT-R conversion for the facelift model and added larger grille openings that have mesh inserts to give a more purposeful look to the new LUMMA CLR 558 GT-R. The new front bumper section, which is lower, makes the car look more grounded as its aerofoil section helps reduce lift above the front axle.

The new rear apron with an incorporated diffuser is available in two designs, depending on the chosen exhaust system. When the central 3-outlet pipe arrangement is selected, the diffuser will come in two sections surrounding the pipes. If not, the two sets of dual 100mm diameter tailpipes flank the diffuser. This latter style is suitable for owners who need a tow bar. Completing the flanks of the Cayenne, big arches make the front and rear wider by 40 mm as the lower door moldings and wheel arch extensions merge with the side skirts to visibly link the wider arches.

The remaining aero kit parts are the rooftop spoiler and the tailgate lip spoiler that are both glued into place. The CLR 558 GT-R’s other visible highlight is the LUMMA CLR Racing Sport wheel that measures 22-inches in diameter, which is integrated into the Cayenne’s body with Performance Savers.

With a 10.0J x 22 inches front and 12.0J x 22 inches rear as well as 295/30ZR22 and 335/25ZR22 tires respectively, these elegant wheels are available in a two-tone version with polished surfaces next to a Black Smoke background. The finish is protected from the elements by means of a clear lacquer. The LUMMA Design conversion is offered to Cayenne models from 2015 and beyond. They include all parts needed for installation plus an extra lighting kit for the Turbo and Turbo S models.

Aggressive, aristocratic, self-confident: LUMMA CLR 558 GT-R conversion for the 2015 Porsche Cayenne

Four years after launch, Porsche has updated its second-generation Cayenne, and now LUMMA Design proudly presents the CLR 558 GT-R, its wide body conversion for this face-lifted SUV.

Distinctive features that immediately grab your attention are the spectacular wide body styling, large exhaust outlets in a choice of three central or twin double pipe designs, and the new 22-inch diameter LUMMA CLR Racing sports wheels, also available in an exclusive two-tone version. This tough looking conversion is now available for all 2015-on Cayenne models, including the Turbo and Turbo S.

The existing CLR 558 GT conversion forms the basis of the new GT-R conversion. Just as Porsche itself has done, the front of the GT-R conversion is modified for the facelift model, larger grille openings with mesh inserts giving the new LUMMA CLR 558 GT-R its more purposeful look.

The new lower front bumper section gives the car a more grounded look, while its aerofoil section helps to reduce lift over the front axle. At the rear, the new rear apron features an integrated diffuser that comes in two designs depending on the exhaust system chosen.

If you go for the central three-outlet pipe arrangement, the diffuser will be in two sections around the pipes. Otherwise the two sets of twin 100mm diameter tailpipes flank the central diffuser. The latter style suits owners who require a tow bar.

Fleshing out the Cayenne’s flanks, the big arches add 40mm to front and rear width, while the wide wheel arch extensions and lower door mouldings work with the side skirts to visually connect the wider arches. The final parts of the aero kit are the tailgate lip spoiler and the rooftop spoiler, both of which are glued in place.

Another visual highlight of the CLR 558 GT-R is the 22-inch diameter LUMMA CLR Racing Sport wheel, fitted to the wide body Cayenne with Performance Spacers. Sized 10.0J and 12.0J x 22-inches front and rear respectively, and shod with 295/30ZR22 and 335/25ZR22 tyres, these elegant wheels come in a two-tone version with polished faces against a Black Smoke background. A clearcoat lacquer protects the finish from the elements.

This LUMMA Design conversion is available for all Cayenne models from 2015 onwards. All the parts required for installation are included, and LUMMA Design offers an additional lighting kit for the Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S models.
