Saab hatchback concept coming to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show

Article by Christian Andrei, on February 16, 2011

Saab is currently on a campaign that seeks to launch the strongest model offensive it has ever had. To prove just how serious it is, the SportWagon version of the 9-5 will be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The wagon builds on the successful 9-5 line but even Saab realizes that this won’t be enough to impress the visitors at the Geneva show, which is known as Europe's first and this year's most important auto show.

It is expected that aside from the 9-5 SportWagon, there may also be a hatchback model called Saab Design Concept. On the cover of the invitation that Saab sent to its closest partners, there is a covered image of this possible hatchback model.

It is believed that the concept is a preview to the next generation 9-3. Further details are expected to arrive in the coming days.

There are other cars seen in this invitation. It’s likely that the first is the SportWagon while the others are said to be the Saab 9-3 Independence Edition convertible and the Griffin Edition Saab 9-3. [via Autoblog]
