Subaru VIZIV 2 Concept announced for 2014 Geneva Motor Show

Article by Christian A., on February 21, 2014

Back in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show, Subaru unveiled the VIZIV Concept and we were impressed by its design as we hope to see it on future vehicles from the well-known Japanese carmaker. The vehicle was also powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combined the 2.0-liter Subaru Boxer diesel engine bolted to a high-torque-compatible Lineartronic (CVT) with a front motor and two independent rear motors.

Now, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Subaru will bring the VIZIV 2 Concept, the latest version of Subaru’s upcoming compact crossover. According to Subaru, this is a future-generation crossover concept, while the VIZIV derives from “vision for innovation”.

We do know that the production version of the car will take on the Honda Vezel and the production version of the recently announced Mazda Hazumi Concept.

Moreover, Subaru will also bring at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show a the WRX STI racing car that will compete in this year’s Nurburgring 24-Hour Race from June 19 to 22 in Germany. This will be the seventh consecutive year that the Subaru WRX STI competes in the event.
