Geneva Preview: ‘5 by Peugeot’ Concept announces the 508 sedan

Peugeot Logo

Peugeot revealed today the "5 by Peugeot" concept car, a proof that the French manufacturer will adopt a new line in its future designs. The new concept previews the 508 sedan and expresses the automaker's vision and experience in the large touring car market. Its dimensions, proportion and styling are a direct response to the changing trends in the large luxury saloon car market segment and reflects the continual search for more status, quality and performance.

The front end of the concept continues the traditional feline appearance and features new "LED" lights highlighted by the use of illuminated surround as well as an unique front grille design inspired by the Peugeot SR1 concept car. The new revised Lion badge naturally takes pride of place in a specially shaped area at the front of the long aluminium bonnet. According to the manufacturer the new "5 by Peugeot" concept car is the proof that Peugeot is concerned about the environment and that the modular technology of the Hybrid4 system can be combined with a range of naturally-aspirated engines according to market requirements. Official debut will be made in March at the Geneva Motor Show!
