Geneva Preview: Fioravanti LF1 and TRIS concepts

For over ten years now, Fioravanti has never missed participating at the European motor event with its concepts. This year, Fioravanti will be showcasing two concepts at the Geneva Motor Show called the LF1 and the TRIS. LF1 is totally new, while the TRIS is a new interpretation of an old concept.
The Fioravanti LF1, derived mainly from Formula 1 design principles appears like a race car. The concept is an effort to bridge the chasm between F1 research and production cars. From the looks of it though, the car is not suited for the road. Details have not been released, but expect more details during the Geneva event. The TRIS, which made its introduction back in 2000 is Fioravanti‚ second concept presentation at the upcoming Geneva show. It is a three-door diminutive which introduces a new method of low-cost vehicle design via a simplified project chain. Procedures, such as engineering, tooling, production and assembly have all received radical cost reduction measures. This concept is demonstrated in the fact that the doors of the TRIS are exactly the same as well as the headlights and taillights. The materials used to build the TRIS back in 2009 are all recycled materials the builder claims. The resurrection of the TRIS may point to the fact that it may be what is really needed at such an economically challenged auto industry as what we have at present.
