Geneva Preview: Koenigsegg Agera

For those who don’t know, Koenigsegg will celebrate 15 years of making supercars and in order to do that the manufacturer released its latest masterpiece, the Koenigsegg Agera.
The name Agera, comes from the Swedish verb "to act‚Äù and has been chose by the manufacturer because it symbolizes Koenigsegg‚ intentions to strive forward and seek new challenges beyond limitations. Then name also comes from Greek word Ageratos, which in ancient Greek means "ageless". ‚ÄúThe focus when developing the Koenigsegg Agera was to maximize, driving experience, cornering speed, braking and adaptability‚Äù, says Christian von Koenigsegg. The new Agera uses the same shape and concept of the Koenigsegg CC, created 15 years ago but it feels and performs like something belonging to the future, with all new content. The new car carries an impressive twin turbo engine capable to deliver 910 hp and 1100 Nm @ 5,100 rpm (there is over 1000 Nm of torque available from 2680 to 6100 rpm). The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, to 200 km/h in 200 km/h and has a top speed of 390+ km/h.
Due to this numbers, behind the wheels wrapped in Michelin high performance tyres, the Afera feature the latest in braking technology, incorporating an adjustable ABS system, 392x36 and 380x34 ventilated and drilled ceramic discs. The new traction control is the fastest reacting in the industry, with auto adapt functionality for different road conditions and driving styles as well as several manual settings.
Inside, the car features a new type of illumination, called the Ghost light. This new system shines through the billet aluminium buttons and surfaces by way of invisible nanotubes, creating excellent visibility of the symbols, as well as a very clean and stylish appearance.
The new Agera will be produced in parallel to the Award winning CCX and CCXR models and the official debut is set to be made in March, at the Geneva Motor Show.
