When carmakers celebrate their birthdays they usually make a special version of their best cars. And when it comes to Wiesmann, you know you're in for a great car. The niche carmaker was started by brothers Martin and Friedhelm, an engineer and a businessman, respectively, which got its start making hardtops for convertibles.
However, in 2006, Wiesmann produced its own shapely and retro-static coupe and roadster. Although its not certain from what starting point they started counting, but Wiesmann will be celebrating its 20-year anniversary with a lineup of special versions including the GT MF4-S. The car will come with a 4.8-liter V8 adapted from the Bmw M3 and tuned to generate 420hp and placing it in the middle of the 367 MF4 and the 507 hp V10-powered MF5. Buyers have the option between a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission, plus special touches including a modified interior highlighting the compulsory numbered and signed plate. There will be a limited 30 units of the MF4-S that Wiesmann will make available with two more special versions close at the heel of this one. The MF4-S will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March. No mention of possible pricing yet. Photo gallery after the jump!
