Ginetta announces the launch of the G40 sports car

The Ginetta G40, UK‚ first real road and race car, will soon be hitting the roads after its manufacturers announced the launch recently. Designed in Leeds, the Ginetta G40 is powered by a 1.8-liter Zetec engine that has been tuned however the company did not specify how much power it could develop. The car offers increased occupant safety and visibility. Weighing at around 850 kg, the car boasts to have a safety cage much stronger than required by FIA regulations, front and rear crash zones and updated side impact bars. In addition, the car offers adjustable interfaces and two seats. An initial batch of 26 units is planned to be produced in January 2010. Pricing for the Ginetta G40 starts at 24,950 GBP. The Ginetta G40 will have its racing debut 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship which is part of the BTCC tour.
