General Motors announced today its new partnership with Segway in order to create the so-called answer to the world's transport problems, a new project dubbed the PUMA a.k.a. Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility. The new vehicles will carry the transponder and GPS technology to drive themselves and avoid obstacles such as people or cars automatically. The prototype you see in the photos uses lithium-ion battery, has a range of 35 miles and a top speed of 35 mph.
