The pause and play radio has been a much-desired feature that is integrated in the Chevrolet Equinox, Buick LaCrosse, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and, on the Cadillac CTS Jukebox and Navigation radio. This pause and play radio, which was introduced by General Motors Co. in 2008, allows drivers to record live transmissions and listen to them later. It made its world premiere on the Cadillac CTS Jukebox and Navigation radio and it eventually became featured on the Buick Regal and the Chevrolet Cruze. Similar to what digital video recording offers, allowing the occupants to capture live transmissions and take a break while viewing. The pause and play radio offers users the possibility to interrupt a live broadcast, record up to 20 minutes, and play it back later. The content then goes to the radio's hard disk and users can then scroll through the content. However, the company has yet to explain on why the feature now only allows users to record up to 20 minutes of broadcasting, as compared to the 60 minute time offered by it on the Cadillac CTS.
