Production of the 2010 Chevrolet Traverse crossover will be suspended for at least two months starting November while General Motors transfers equipment from its facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee, to the Delta Township. Company spokesman Chris Lee said that he can't give an exact time frame that the suspension will remain effective. Chevrolet Traverse is a crossover powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 281 horsepower (210 kW) at 6,300 rpm and 266 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm. Mated to an automatic 6-speed transmission and featuring a front wheel drive, the car achieves a fuel consumption rating of 17 mpg (13.8 L/100Km) city and 24 mpg (9.8 L/100Km) highway. The Delta Township currently manufactures the Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia.
