Gogogear Racing Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Hyundai partnered with Gogogear Racing to create a custom, racing version of the Genesis Coupe that made its debut today at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. In its efforts to prove that this is a tuning- and racing-friendly vehicle, Hyundai has fitted its 3.8 liter V6 powerplant with an AEM air intake, a Magnaflow exhaust system, ARK Performance headers and new engine management software. Gogogear Racing installed a Moroso accumulator that allows for the unit to be properly lubricated under the expected 1.4 Gs of cornering loads.

This vehicle, which uses a racing clutch that’s attached to the stock six-speed manual gearbox, has an output of 330 hp and a maximum torque of 280 lb-ft (379 Nm). Cornering is expected to be easy for this vehicle since it has been fitted with a Ground Control Suspension that includes ARK Performance shocks, springs, coilovers and QA1 bearings.

The coupe features StopTech brakes and Hawk racing pads as well as Konig lightweight rims and BF Goodrich R1 street legal race tires. For improved aerodynamics, the Genesis Coupe has received an APR rear wing and an ARK Performance body kit. Instead of the factory steel roof, the vehicle now has a carbonfiber one.
