Google Earth available for the first time on the 2011 Audi A8

2011 Audi A8 Google EarthAudi‚ new generation A8, its flagship model, will go on sale at the start of 2010. New features include a variety of Google services and information to the luxury sedan via the internet. How this works is quite simple. The Audi online services allow the new A8 to retrieve up-to-date information from the internet via the optionally integrated GPRS/EDGE modem in the MMI navigation plus. From within the MMI, the user can search online with Google for points-of-interest. The results would then be displayed on the onboard map or used as destinations for route calculation. Continued after the jump! To accomplish this, Audi put a multimedia interface, an ‚Äúoperating concept incorporating a touchpad ‚ known as MMI touch.‚Äù In addition, its other features are an integrated hard disk for navigation, phone and audio data and a graphics processor capable of generating high-quality, three dimensional images. Audi stated that the MMI is able to analyze navigation data and then give predictions. Information is relayed to the control units managing the automatic cruise control with Stop & Go, adaptive lights and the 8-speed tiptronic gearbox so that these systems can precisely adapt their function to conditions well in advance. 2011 Audi A8 Google Earth 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8 2011 Audi A8
