Gordon Murray working on a radical sports car

No one can accuse designer Gordon Murray of not loving his own. In an interview with CAR, he said, ‚ÄúThere's no point in trying to outdo the F1, they'll never do it. The world has moved on...‚Äù Well, he is the father of the McLaren F1 so he‚ entitled to such a sweeping statement. While others may be resting on their laurels, he continues to show other designers how it‚ done.
Murray is working on revolutionizing the way cars are built with his iStream technology and his soon-to-be-released T25. Murray‚ next project will be more performance-oriented, but rather than trying to outdo the McLaren F1, he'll be moving to improve performance by decreasing the weight. He promises that the result will be "expensive and exclusive." What he‚ working on is quite different from the P11 program on which his successors at McLaren are currently working on.
