Together with the producers of the Sony Playstation game Gran Turismo, Citroen made a fresh GT concept car designated the 'GTbyCitroen' that was showcased in October at the Paris Motor Show. The concept was started as part of the endorsement for the 5th title in the long-running Gran Turismo racing replication, but besides being offered as a unique vehicle in the game there were actually no real plans for it in the future.
A report said that the radically styled concept is alleged to be set for production in an exceptionally restricted run of just 20 vehicles. Jean-Pierre Ploue, the new design director for PSA Peugeot Citroen, has purportedly pointed out that there are production plans for it, even though no other details have been made available.
Measuring five meter long at the maximum, the GT by Citroen highlights a whole race car inside, 21inch aluminum rims, gullwing doors, an adaptable spoiler, and a mid-engine design. While the show car was titally a study in design with no functioning internals, the variant in the game highlights an electric drivetrain propelled by a fuel cell.
