Hennessey Performance takes the Nissan GT-R a step further

Hennessey Nissan GT-R

Among other rides, Hennessey Performance has always had a fancy for improving Dodge Vipers to unprecedented horsepower and performance figures. Lately though, the team from Sealy, Texas is putting its highly tuned forced induction know-how onto the most current giant from Japan, Nissan's esteemed GT-R supercar, which is also the 2009 Car of the Year. Up to this point, two entire tuning phases, designated the Godzilla 600 and Godzilla 700, have been made available at prices beginning $11,500 to $18,500, of course, excluding donor GT-R and installation. Basing on their respective asserted yields of 600-hp and 700-hp, the packages should generate some interesting performance numbers, at the minimum. Each phase involves a total overhaul of the greatly technological air induction and exhaust systems. Fresh turbochargers are installed to the more potent Godzilla 700, as are fresh intercoolers and boost regulator. It is obvious, that if you choose the Hennessey path, Nissan's production warranty will most probably be voided beyond all understanding.
