Hennessey Performance (HPE) will soon take orders for its upgraded Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, the 2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep. HPE increased the displacement of HPE800 V8 Hemi engine to 7.0 L from 6.4 L, and added a twin turbo forced induction system. With these specs, the HPE800 will have 805 bhp and 823 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds.
HPE also loaded the HPE800 with an upgraded transmission system and torque converter upgrade and a lowered sport suspension system.
The HPE800 also sports 15.1 inch Brembo brakes in the front and rear, carbon fiber front splitter, alloy wheels, and an Alcantara steering wheel. John Hennessey, HPE president and founder, said the HPE800 was created due to demand from a client base who wants an upgrade of the SRT8. HPE set the production at 24 examples with a base price of $235,000.
