Honda F1 team could use Ferrari engines

Since Honda will not be providing engines its F1 racing team, Ross Brawn, the team boss and a former employee of Ferrari is talking with the Italian manufacturer and other suppliers concerning engine supplies. "We haven't signed anything yet but I really appreciated the support from president Luca di Montezemolo and Stefano Domenicali. It's like being among former schoolmates: they still see me as one of their own," Brawn said. Brawn emphasized that he was protecting the employment of the team staff more than anything else. "The objective is to save jobs," he said, "my presence is certainly not a priority." With all the delays and obstacles to hurdle, Brawn said that this year is going to be a "transitional one" for them as they begin to pore over the design developments set for 2010. [via gmm]
