Honda Jazz 1.2 i-VTEC SE now available as standard with Idle Stop technology

2012 Honda Jazz

The new Honda Jazz 1.2 i-VTEC will feature the Idle Stop technology, which cuts emissions and raises efficiency. It has a combined fuel economy of 54.3mpg and offers CO2 emissions of 120 g/km, lower by 3 g/km. With this improvement, the car now qualifies in tax band C and so its owner only has to pay a tax of £30 annually. Orders are now being taken for the Jazz SE with Idle Stop. It is priced at £12,870 OTR and is positioned higher than the S grade (with air con) in the model range. Honda added Auto Climate Control and body coloured door handles and mirrors to its list of features. All of Honda's hybrid models (CR-Z, Jazz Hybrid and Insight) offer Idle Stop technology as a standard feature. It is also used throughout the new Civic lineup. Efficiency is improved by the Idle Stop system by automatically switching off the engine when the car stops and is put in neutral while the foot is off the clutch. When the clutch is depressed, the engine instantly turns back on.
