The half-million sales mark was crossed by Honda Jazz in the European market showing the wide acceptance of the visually attractive 5-door hatch. When it was released in 2002, the Honda Jazz caused no small stir among enthusiasts and buyers alike due to its combination of size and value from the B-segment and passenger space and luggage capacity from the C-segment. The 2002 Jazz maintained its popularity until it was overtaken by the brand new 2008 Honda Jazz. Honda says that the Jazz really transformed the B-segment when it joined the range in 2002. The Jazz can still astound people by the size of its passenger and luggage area. Honda is excited at the prospect of selling 500,000 Honda Jazz models and the carmaker promised to maintain this achievement with September's new Jazz production in the UK.
