The Honda Skydeck showcases the carmaker's future design language; however, there are still no plans to put this concept into production. The Skydeck currently serves as the design study for the replacement to the FR-V. The Skydeck is also a six-seater, similar to the FR-V, but instead of two rows of three, it has three rows of two seats. And the seats are hung from the Skydeck's tall central tunnel. Exterior designer Shinya Uchiyama said that problems appeared during crash tests but he remains confident that the feature could still make production. The Skydeck's footroom is unrivaled. The seat design has fewer parts and this allows the center row of seats to neatly slide beneath the front pair, making access to the rear row easier. This is made possible due to the car's remarkably low floor. The rearmost row folds flat conventionally. Honda wants its hybrid range to have numerous segments and it's likely that that it will include people carriers. According to our sources, Honda seeks to introduce a range of hybrids that would appeal to various markets.
