In order to complete the Civic lineup, Honda is preparing to confirm the production of Civic Type R in September, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Still, the car will be previewed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March next year and will go on sale an year later. Because we are speaking about a car that doesn’t exist yet, we have no details regarding the engine that will be found under the car’s hood but we do know that the outgoing version was powered by a high-revving, normally aspirated VTEC engine. For those who don’t know, that engine failed to meet emissions regulations and forced Honda to kill the Civic Type R. Until the new car will be seen, we do expect to show you guys the Type S version of the new Civic.
