Hybrid Lamborghini expected by 2015

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has spoken of a possible 2015 debut for a mild hybrid Lamborghini. He said that he could see the cars adopting a small electric motor in conjunction with gasoline power. However, Winkelmann said that a fully electric Lamborghini is not something the company is currently keen on planning. 2015 is coincidentally also the year that Ferrari plans to release its own hybrid models. Ferrari seems to have the edge since it has already confirmed that it is currently testing hybrid prototypes of the 599.
