Hyundai introduces its new R-Diesel powerplant

After the high-performance V6 Lambda RS engine, another powerplant was revealed today by Hyundai Motor: the R-Diesel engine! The new 2.0-liter diesel powerplant is capable to deliver an impressive 184 hp and 390 Nm of torque while its 2.2-liter brother brings 197 hp and 434 Nm of torque, surpassing its German and French competitors. According to the manufacturer the engine will be available on the 2010 Hyundai Tucson and Sonata models which are due be launched.
