Hyundai has revealed that the successor of the Tiburon will be smaller and more affordable and will be position just below the current version. The car will be released by 2011. It will come with a lower price and an eco sport positioning and it will not just be about performance. The successor to the Tiburon will be economical, stylish and an apt complement to the Genesis Coupe. Drive will come from the front wheels just like the Accent and Elantra. Power under the hood will be provided by a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine. The car won´t probably be using the Tiburon name. The preceding version of the Tiburon was a 4-seater coupe which saw its final production in the 2008 model year. Two engine options were offered for it: one a four-cylinder engine and the other is a six-cylinder unit. Pricing for the 2008 Tiburon was $17,945 including shipping. In 2007, Hyundai sold a total of 14,073 Tiburons, the last full year that the model was offered in US markets. The new car will be styled a lot like the sporty 4-seater coupe, the Veloster Concept.
