Infiniti announces price increase on 2011 M sedan models

Infiniti announced an interim price increase on the 2011 Infiniti M sedan: the M37 models price will be increased with $250 while the M56 models will cost with $350 more. Following this, the Infiniti M37 (powered by a 3.7 liter V6 mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission) is priced from $46, 500, while the all-wheel-drive version M37X AWD will cost $48,500. The Infiniti M56, which comes with a 5.6-liter V8 mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox will come with a price tag of $57,900 (M56X AWD version will cost $60,400).
Regarding the power of the engines available on the Infiniti models, the M37 comes with a 330-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine, while the M56 offer the all new 420-horsepower 5.6-liter V8. Both models are fitted with Infiniti’s advanced VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) system as well as a standard 7-speed automatic transmission. A special Sport Package is available only for the rear-wheel drive models, consisting of 4-Wheel Active Steer (4WAS), sport-tuned suspension, Sport Brakes and 20-inch wheels and tires. The 2011 M is offered with new technologies such as Infiniti Drive Mode Selector, Active Noise Control, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Blind Spot Intervention (BSI), Forest Air system, Eco Pedal and Active Trace Control.
The 2011 M also offers a next-generation Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, Bose Studio Surround premium audio system, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) systems, Distance Control Assist (DCA), Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Front Pre-Crash Seat Belts. Standard features include Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, XM Satellite Radio (XM subscription required, sold separately), Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and power-sliding glass tinted moonroof.
