Infiniti working on a small front-wheel-drive coupe

According to the latest reports, it appears that Infiniti is currently working on a small front-wheel-drive coupe, which will borrow the same design philosophy from the Essence Concept, which was unveiled last year at the Geneva Motor Show. The new car from Infiniti will have a coupe profile, but will deliver the same practicality as a three-door hatchback. Apparently, the new car will not feature the same hatchback profile as we know it, so expect a new design concept. Set to take on cars such as the Mercedes-Benz CLC, the new car will be front-wheel drive, but will deliver the same driving pleasure, just like Bmw did with its MINI brand. And this will not be the only car Infiniti is currently working on, as the manufacturer is also planning its own version of the Nissan Leaf electric vehicle. [via autocar]
