This April, China's Jianghuai Automobile Co. will introduce a pickup at the Beijing Auto Show that adopts several of the exterior design details of the Ford F-150, according to a report from The Detroit News. The JAC 4R3 has the same grille, hood and extended cab as the F-150. It also even has Ford's blue oval. Ford Motor Co. has yet to decide if it will take legal action against JAC. Ford spokesman Mike Levine said, “We're aware of it and we're investigating." There have been many complaints filed against Chinese automakers over the past years for producing clones of foreign cars and trucks. The lawsuits that have been filed by the automakers against their imitators in China’s courts have had limited success. State-owned JAC is based in Hefei, in east China's Anhui province. In 2011, it sold 425,505 passenger vehicles and commercial trucks, LMC Automotive revealed. [source: DetroitNews]
