Jaguar Land Rover sales rose by 45% to 30,981 in December 2011

Tata Motors announced that Jaguar Land Rover sales rose by 45% to 30,981 in December 2011 when compared with the same month in 2010. Tata Motors, the owner of JLR, revealed that Land Rover sales grew by 53% to 26,255 units. Meanwhile, Jaguar sales for December 2011 increased by 9% after selling 4,726 units. For the fiscal year from March, the cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover increased by 22% to 216,412 units. The sales of Land Rover rose by 31% to 176,491. On the same month, Jaguar sales dropped by 7% to 39,921. The global sales of Tata Motors group, including Jaguar Land Rover, jumped by 27% to 114,920 in December 2011. For the fiscal year, cumulative sales were 12% higher to 865,400 units.
