Jaguar has been spied while testing its near-production-ready XF prototype in the Midlands last week. It’s believed that this is the company’s new XFR-S saloon. Jaguar officials said that the company is currently developing this car, which is likely to be powered by the supercharged 542bhp V8 engine, the same one used on the hardcore XKR-S. Fans expect this car to be introduced this November at the Los Angeles Motor Show, according to Autocar. This prototype is in a more advanced phase than those previously spotted near the Nürburgring. It comes with several aerodynamic features that appear to be headed for the production version. There is a small lip spoiler at the front while there’s another fixed spoiler on the bootlid at the rear. This new model offers Jaguar with a stronger competitor to the 552bhp BMW M5 and 549bhp Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Insiders say that the standard 503bhp XFR has been beaten by its modern rivals when it comes to its features.
