Jeep announces Grand Cherokee ‘Sports Line’

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sports Line

The Jeep range of 4x4 vehicles is expected to continue. Already, information about an impressive new Grand Cherokee ‘Sports Line’ version, the S-Limited, has been released. The new Grand Cherokee S-Limited is intended to compete with the ‘sports-styled’ premium SUV segment of the crowded 4WD market. It will have the muscular sporty styling that Jeep is known for but it won’t have the big capacity petrol engines that power the performance versions like the 6.4-litre V8-powered Grand Cherokee SRT. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Limited will get a bold but appealing sports appearance, getting numerous styling cues from the new SRT version. Meanwhile, it offers several of the more popular product features from the other models of the Grand Cherokee range when it comes to fuel economy, 4x4 capability, safety, technology and comfort.

It is built with incredible style and craftsmanship, with the skilful use of real carbon fibre trim to showcase how the S-Limited is designed from the start to provide greater style and equipment to achieve a better price than its rivals. The new S-Limited’s interior has a leather-covered heated steering wheel and ventilated sports-styled Nappa leather seats. The cabin gets a sporty, performance-oriented appearance with its bright, racing style pedal pads.

Additional standard features include the following: Quadra-Lift air suspension, Quadra-Trac II four wheel drive system, cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Uconnect navigation, black gloss 20-inch alloy wheels, 825-watt Harman-Kardon audio system with 19 speakers and three sub-woofers, power tailgate, and distinctive black grille and rear light bar. The new Grand Cherokee S-Limited is powered by Jeep’s proven 237bhp, 2987cc V6 CRD diesel engine with new-generation, 1.8-bar injectors and MultiJet II technology developed by Fiat Powertrain. The new Grand Cherokee S-Limited starts selling this month and has a price tag of £44,595 (OTR).
