If you are willing to buy a 2013MY Jeep Grand Cherokee you’d better hurry up as the company will have a shortened 2013 model year because in January the new 2014MY will arrive. That’s right, we are talking about that model fitted with a diesel engine but also an eight-speed automatic transmission. Jeep dealers already began to take orders, for the 2013 Grand Cherokee, this month as the production will begin in August and will continue with the five-speed automatic transmission that is fitted on the SUV since 2010. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will get the 3.0-liter diesel engines available on the models sold in Europe and delivering 241 hp and 406 pounds-feet of torque. Bolted to a five-speed transmission, the diesel engine delivers 23 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. The eight-speed transmission produced by ZF will boost the fuel economy of the current model.
